We aren’t the music pub we used to be – not that we won’t have live performances from time to time – it’s just that nowadays we are concentrating more on what we do best, great beer, lovely pub grub and a safe place to enjoy them.

Coverage of the second semi-final, which takes place at Atlanta Stadium in the USA. England reached their fourth World Cup semi-final with an extra-time victory against Norway in the quarter-finals, and were victorious in this stadium in the last 32, when they came from behind again to defeat DR Congo. The goals of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham have been key to their success, and they'll be needed again here against old foes Argentina. The reigning champions haven't been at their best in their title defence, but have still managed to score three times in each of their three knockout matches so far, and have the remarkable Lionel Messi, who is set to face England for the first time in his career.

Beer Festival

Our annual Beer Festival starts on Thursday 23 July and runs all through the weekend. On Monday 26 at 7.30 we shall be presented with the Pub of the Year trophy from our local CAMRA branch. We shall be showing 25 beers although we can only offer 18 of them at one time.
